So here's what a birthing ball looks like. Aparently, when you bring in pilates ball or a workout ball to a birthing room, it evolves into a birthing ball. Laci says it's a little weird but it better than just laying in the bed.
Guess it's supposed to put pressure on the cervix to help it dialate. We've got enough doctor friends though that maybe they could give us a better understanding. She wants to walk but they said they'd rather her do this.
The Birthing Ball is great...it's takes some the pressure off.I used one when delivering Grason...my Mid-Wife also had the lights turned down low with soft music and Lavender and a Back massage.HINT to Randy! I'm so excited for you guys!!!

ReplyDeleteyea, since she got pitosin they won't let her walk. they will let her get in the shower for 15 min. at a time. take advantage of that!!
