Things have been crazy busy lately so my usual plan of blogging more went out the window yet again. Boo me. But I'm back today so that's good.
Last week, Randy and I went to Unleash 2010 in Anderson, SC. It was a leadership conference held at
Perry Noble's church. We had a super fun time and actually left the kids for the first time! It seems slightly ridiculous that after being parents for almost 3 years we just now left and got away. But we dont have family near by and although I'm not really an "attachment parenting" kinda girl, I am pretty darn attached to my little ones and the thought of being in a completely different state then them..that just stresses me out!!!!
BUT! I really wanted to have the chance to go and I'm so glad I did. The kids were in great hands and when I went to pick them up the first thing Ella said was, "But I'm still playing". Yeah, I think they did okay. I did okay, too. I had the most wonderful family watching them and they sent me adorable picture messages to my phone throughout the day of the kids playing and having fun.
We also had one of Randy and Jason's former youth students that I just LOVE come up to visit a few nights and that was fun, too.
On Sunday afternoon my mom and sister drove in for a short vistit. Did I mention it was a crazy busy week? This was super exciting because I have to have a mommy and sister fix like every 5 or 6 weeks or I start getting really cranky haha!
Ella got a new trampoline that my mom found on clearance for a great price. We have been jumping several times a day because Ella cant get enough of it. And of course it's only because of Ella...Randy and I seriously wouldn't want jump on it ALL the time trying to do cool tricks and acting like teenagers. Seriously guys! We're wayyy too mature for that. ;)
My mom and I wanted to get some updated "Spring" pictures so we decided to dress the kids up in their Easter outfits and take some for fun. This was our first time trying to use a tri-pod..that was intersting. Thank goodness for the technology to crop and enhance pictures. After all the adjustments, they didn't turn out half bad!
