Lord, make me more faithful..

Faithful lyrics

There's distance in the air and I cannot make it leave
i wave my arms' round about me and blow with all my might
I cannot sense you close, though I know you're always here
But the comfort of you near is what i long for

[CHORUS]
When I can't feel you, I have learned to reach out just the same
When I can't hear you, I know you still hear every word I pray
And i want you more than i want to live another day
And as I wait for you maybe I'm made more faithful

All the folly of the past, though I know it is undone
i still feel the guilty one, still trying to make it right
So i whisper soft your name, let it roll around my tounge,
knowing you're the only one who knows me
You know me

[CHORUS]

[BRIDGE]
Show me how I should live this
Show me where I should walk
I count this world as loss to me
You are all I want
You are all I want

6 weeks!!

Really can't believe that Noah is already 6 weeks old. It's so weird, in one way it seems like it was yesterday, but on the other hand it feels like he's been a part of our family forever.

Noah's been doing great! He is eating well and sleeping great. He usually goes down around 8 or 8:30 and then I come back in and "top him off" around 9:30 or 10 before I go to bed. He sleeps about 5 or 6 hours from there although I have had a few 7 hour stretches!! After he eats he usually goes back down until 6 or 7. Woo Hoo!
He is just growing like a weed and his little personality is starting to show. We finally have all of his tummy issues controlled with the medicine so that's a real blessing!!

We FINALLY caught a picture of Noah's sweet smile on camera!

As for Ella, she is wonderful as usual. She had her two year check up on the 12th and was nice and healthy. She weighed 25 pounds which kept her in the 25% where she has fallen most of her life. She had developed a fear of the Doctors office so we spent alot of time pretending to be a Doctor and listening to each others heart, checking our ears, and so on..Thankfully she is done with shots until Kindergarten!
She has also been enjoying our weekly trips to the library for Toddler Story Time. Next week is the big finale so we are taking Daddy along to show him all she does there and I will bring the camera for pictures. She is definitely a summer girl and enjoys the warm weather and swimming. We're looking forward to Sunday when she will have a double Birthday party with her friend Hannah.

Ella was so happy to get her nails painted for the first time. She is such a girly girl. She showed me one where the polish had chipped yesterday and said it, "was broken". She asked me to please fix it.
Take a close look at this pic of Noah. Notice all the red sauce on his face and outfit. Well, Ella had Ravioli for lunch and took off to give Noah some kisses while I was getting a wash cloth to clean her up. Lol, I think Noah loved the kisses and didn't seem to mind the mess!
Here are Ella and Randy snuggling and reading books from the library..so sweet.

Goodluck Danielle!!

My cousin Danielle is in labor right now in TN. Hopefully sometime today, Noah (and Ella!!) will have a new little cousin. I'm so excited that our boys will be a month apart. Danielle and I are 6 months apart and had so much fun together as kids. Wish I was there to see and hold him, but I'm sending my love that way!! We love you Danielle! Can't wait for pics!!

My mom sent me this pic from last night. Have I mentioned I REALLY wish I could be there for this!?!?!

Birthday's and such!

Ella celebrated her 2nd Birthday on Sunday and I still can't really believe she's actually 2 years old!! We are having her party on the 26th, but we still wanted her to enjoy her Birthday. My sister and Eric came over and we had a mini party for her. Randy grilled out and we had strawberry cup cakes. A couple of weeks ago, Ella and I got a book from the library called, "Pinkalicious" about a girl that ate too many pink cupcakes and turned pink. Well, when I asked Ella what kind of cupcakes she wanted for her Birthday..chocolate, or vanilla...she said she wanted Pinkalicious cupcakes lol. We've been making her say it so much because we thought it was so cute. Everytime we eat one, I can't help but ask, "What kind of cupcakes are these??". Overall, I think she had a great Birthday!

Noah has been doing great, too. I think his tummy issues are on the mend. He is still taking a tiny bit of milk mixed with a piece of lactaid tablet before every feeding so that he can still nurse and that has really helped. Since the reflux still seems to make him uncomfortable (poor guy has spit up come out of his nose at least twice a day!) we are going to go ahead and start him on the antacid today. He is so sweet and growing SO fast. The newborn clothes and diapers are getting snug! We still have one more pack of newborn diapers and then he will be "movin' on up" to size 1.
Hey, remember this pic??

This past Sunday we took one now that the babies are here!! They are in order from oldest to youngest starting on the Right and moving left.

Well, not much else new for us..we are just enjoying the summer and eating lots of left over cupcakes! Yum Yum!

Splish Splash I was takin a bath!

I just realized I had some pictures from Noah's first bath that I haven't posted yet. His belly button fell off awhile ago, but even though it looks nice and healed, you can still see inside it. So when we take Ella to the Doctor on Monday, I will probably have them peek at it and help me figure out what to do to get it closed up. Because of that, I've been hesitant to give him a "real" bath so we have been doing sponge baths. Well, after another explosion of spit up the other night, I decided to go ahead and give him a tub bath and to just be careful around his belly button. I have been so ready for him to have that nice clean baby smell instead of smelling so sour. HA! He ended up spitting up soon after his bath lol Oh well!

Ella needed a bath, too and Randy wasn't home, so I put Noah's little tub in the big tub with water around it and washed them both! Good thing Ella likes to run around naked, because she had to wait until I was done dressing Noah to get her Jammies on!

Cute babies in hooded towels :)

Squeaky clean piggie toes!

What a week!!

We have been so busy!! So much has gone on in the past week and I have lots of pictures to share! I'll go back to June and catch you up :)

Noah had his first play date with his little friend, Ethan. They are 3 weeks apart and Ethan's mom Ashley and I have been going to Bible study together since Ella was a baby. It was fun to have the boys finally meet since we saw each other almost weekly during our pregnancy.

As you can see, Noah was really playing hard!! J/K
But he DID wake up to say hello!

On the 30th of June, I celebrated my Birthday with Randy, Ella, Noah, and my sister Lynsey. I only took a couple of pics, but we had a great time! Randy and Ella baked strawberry cupcakes with cream cheese icing- my favorite! Randy also grilled chicken and cooked dinner for us!

I spent the rest of the week packing and preparing for our trip to Tennessee and Missouri. We left on Thursday night/Friday morning so that the little ones would sleep most of the trip. It took us about 13 hours to make the drive to the western side of TN where my parents live. We spent the rest of the day and night there with my mom and dad.

My sister Lynsey with our Dad, Eric
Dolly giving Ella a bath in the sink..It's a really deep sink, but I think this may have been the last time she will fit!

The next morning, we drove 3 hours into Missouri following my Dad and brother to meet up with my step dad's side of the family. They camp every other year at Current River in Missouri and usually stop to celebrate the fourth at my Dad's Aunt's house near St. Louis. So..we drove the 3 hours and met in Sikeston, MO to eat at Lambert's Cafe- Home of the "Thrown Rolls". It was so yummy and the atmosphere is great!! If you want another roll, you just raise your hands in the air and a waiter will throw one to you from where ever he is in the restaurant! You have to watch your head in case someone misses! I was so excited to see my family, I forgot to take pictures in the restaurant, but as soon as I get some copies from everyone else, I'll post them!

I did find this little video..

After lunch, we had to drive another 3 hours to Aunt Becky's house where we planned to celebrate the 4th of July. Ella had a great time playing with cousins she hadn't seen since she was an infant. She was so excited to meet her cousin Emma and was singing the "I love you" song from Barney within minutes of meeting her! lol!

Ella with cousins Emma, Brysten, and Connor
Me with Austin..I used to watch both Austin and Connor since they were so small. I learned how to care for a baby by watching them. I can't believe how much they've grown. I really miss them SO much.
Here we are with my Grandma and Grandpa Brown :)There were so many other people who I didn't get pics with. It just went by too fast.

Next morning, we were on the road AGAIN! Back the 6 hours to my moms where we spent the remainder of our trip. Since we spent somewhere around 41 hours in the car over a 5 day period, we were pretty worn out. Thankfully, the kiddos did great in the car!

I thought this picture was really cute. Since my sister and I were somewhere around 6 and 8 when my mom met my step dad, he isn't quite accustomed to baby car seats. He did a great job getting Noah all swaddled and cozy and was going to buckle him in like this. I had to take over and get Noah's arms and legs situated and through the straps. Wish I could buckle him in like this! He looked so comfy!!

Noah got to also meet my Meemaw (my grandmother) and Nanny (my great grandma), and Danielle (my cousin who is about to give Noah a little boy cousin sometime in the next 2 weeks!). I forgot my camera for this visit!! I was so bummed!!!

Ella also got to fufill her recent dream of "riding" a motorcycle. She loved to wear the helmet and sit on it while it was running to hear the "vroom vroom". In fact, she loved the helmet so much, she wore it around the house a couple of hours and insisted that Dolly wear one, too. Silly girl!

We definitely have been enjoying the summer! It has been great to get out and do some stuff after such a COLD winter!!

Our movie theater has been doing free movies for kids over the summer. They play older movies, but it still makes for a fun trip to the movies. Last week we saw Horton Hears a Who and Ella did great. I couldn't believe she sat through the whole thing. Today, we went to see Space Chimps and it wasn't as successful lol About 25 minutes in she said, "Mommy can we go home??" and started crying. She is just so worn out from being so busy. Our plans for the next few days are do nothing and stay out of the car lol.
