We're floored!

Wow, let me first say that I can't believe how much I've blogged lately! There has just been lots of stuff I've wanted to share..but anyways!...

For those of you who didn't know..

The hose that runs into our icemaker was aparently leaking...alot...we found this out because our floor in the living room (it's like pergo type stuff) was lifting up and water was coming out of the cracks in it. Big problem. Since we aren't in the financial situation to fix it, we were trying to decide what to do. We obviously were going to have to rip it up. That was going to leave us with a concrete floor for who knows how long..Still, we prefered that over mold in our living room hands down. Well, a few days later we recieved a call from Jason saying that an "annonimous donnor" had donated the money to replace our floors. Sort of a shock since we only told a couple people. We were later told that it was more than just one person. Wow. Talk about feeling blessed. and humbled. We have such a wonderful church family and we love them all very much.

Now the reason for this post is because I'm feeling especially grateful for the new floors as I look around my living room now. Randy has pulled up all of the old floors because the new ones are being installed tomorow by our small group. So thanks to many people who love us, our house wont look like this for long...

*We love you all and are so thankful. I will post new pics of the finished floor when it's all complete :)

Poor Randy is trying to relax, but instead he is posing for my blog :)

Cool Park..

Today I was at the Ebeling's house and since the boys were at wrestling camp for the day, I decided it would be fun for us girls to head to the park. We went to the park on Elm Street in Greenville. I have been there a few times before, but I heard that they remodeled the "Toddler Park".. They did a great job! It would probably be fun for kids up to age 5 or so, but the girls loved it.

They had lots of stuff to climb in and around, spots to scoop sand, lots of swings, just all sorts of fun stuff. Ella, of course, liked staying put in the baby swing. Instead of park benches for the parents, there were benches that were long swings! Very nice!

The coolest part was that the park was completely handicap accessible. There were actually a couple of kids there enjoying the swings while we were there. I never really thought of the fact that a lot of kids miss out on going to the park. The girls thought the special swings looked like a lot of fun. I explained that we needed to leave them open while the other kids were there since they were the only swings they could use, but once they left we had to give them a try! :)

Discovery Church Moms Group

Today was our first meeting of our new playgroup for church. We only had a couple of us, but there are alot more people planning to usually attend. It was alot of fun!! They played inside some and also got in the pool, too. Ella went into the water some, but I had to hold her while she splashed so she isn't in any of the water pics. I think it will be a great way for the moms in our church to get to know each other and grow closer..

I can't stop listening to this song!!

I'm loving this new single..
Yes, it's from the Jonas Brothers.
I must admit I am a fan. lol. I think it would be awesome to have kids one day who loved to play music together. I can't wait until this CD somes out. hehe.

Wedding Pics

Here are the pics I have from the wedding so far. I took alot with my camera on the days leading up to the wedding, but since I couldn't take my camera with me during the actual ceremony some of those pics are coming later..It was a great wedding. Davey and Janelle's love for each other always showed and now they are finally married. They had a beautiful ceremony and sang together, too!! Hope you like the pics!

Then Sings my Soul Saturdays

Well, today Randy and I are in willmington at Davey and Janell's Wedding! This is my first time trying out a scheduled post :) I'm very impressed with myself (unless this doesn't work!Ha!)

I'm going to start something new on Saturdays..It's called "Then sings my Soul Saturdays" I'm really excited about it! Every Saturday (or at least MOST Saturdays) I will post a song that has in some way or another affected my life. There will be a link that will lead you to the site of the woman who started the whole thing, too. There you can read other's posts, too.

We'll see how it goes..SO...

This is my very first edition :)

This week I have chosen Hillsong "None but Jesus"

I've had one of those months where lots of stuff seems to go wrong. Most of my prayers seemed to be about things that were going wrong. Some for finances. Lots that my Uncle wouldn't die, then more following that to help us get through his death. For sickness. For things that were going wrong around the house.

Through all of the bad stuff, this song's lyrics really spoke to me. God has shown me that no matter what else happens, He is the one constant. I have learned that there is always going to be "junk" happening..I loved the way Perry Noble put it in last weeks message. God is bigger than all of it!

This song is the prayer of my heart..I hope you will take the time to listen to it.

NONE BUT JESUS

In the quiet, in the stillness

I know that You are God

In the secret of Your presence

I know there I am restored

When You call I won’t refuse

Each new day again I’ll choose

There is no one else for me

None but Jesus

Crucified to set me free

Now I live to bring Him praise

In the chaos, in confusion

I know You’re Sovereign still

In the moment of my weakness

You give me grace to do Your will

When You call I won’t delay

This my song through all my days

All my delight is in You Lord

All of my hope, all of my strength

All my delight is in You Lord

Forevermore

Happy Father's Day

Just wanted to wish all of the Dad's out there a Happy Father's Day!! We spent the day celebrating with Dusty and Shanna. Wish we could have been with our Dad's..we miss them lots! I know Randy is enjoying his first Father's Day, although it still seems a little surreal to him..

To our most favorite Dad's out there....We love you guys!!

Belly Nap

Ella has been rolling over for a while now, but she still always sleeps on her back. Well, this morning I found her like this:

So very cute, and a BIG deal for her since she NEVER wants to be on her stomache. She will do anything she can to avoid having her stomache on the ground!!

She even played some and ended up on the other end of the crib before crying to come out..not the reaction I expected to get from her when she woke on her tummy..

Green Springs

Today was the first "Fun Friday" for the youth group at church. Randy and I were so excited because it was a trip to Green Springs. It's basically a big swimming hole on the river. An older man ownes the property and lets everone come and enjoy it. Lots of the local kids (including claude back in the day!) helped him build it little by little. It's alot of fun. There are different levels to jump off, a zip line, swing, and alot of really cool posts and ropes to play games like "chicken" on. The day couldn't have been any more perfect for this trip, the weather was great (almost too cold because of the breeze!) and I think everyone had a really good time. We sure did!

11 Months Old!!

Ella is 11 months old today. I could go on about how she is growing so fast and we can't believe she's almost ONE, but I usually do that in every blog. HeHe.

Tomorow I will post a better, "Yay Ella's 11 months old" picture, but today..this is all I could get from her :(
I love how even in the middle of a fit, she has those little legs crossed. Cute little lady.

New Look

Since Randy has his own blog now and I update this one, I decided to give it a new look. If you don't read his blog already you'll have to add it to your favorites :)

Hmmm...

This is one of those posts where I can't really decide on a "title" for it. I could call it, "Date Night", or "Fun in the Sun", or "Sick Baby"...The list goes on and on, so I will call it Hmmm! LOL!

Where to start..Well, last Thursday Shanna watched Ella in the evening so Randy and I could have a date night :) That was ALOT of fun. We went to Cracker Barrel and to a movie. The dinner was yummy and nice, but we are fortunate enough that Ella is usually great to take with us out to eat. I think we appreciate going to a movie the most. We were big time Movie Go-ers(?) before we had Ella so we definately miss that. We had a really good time! We took a minute to take some pics before we went..

On Saturday Randy and Ella hit up a couple of Graduation Parties. I was at work, but was able to meet up with them just in time to enjoy the Coyle's pool- WOO HOO! Ella LOVED it! She was kicking and trying to swim everywhere..

That brings me up to date for last week!

Sunday Ella woke up with a fever. She has been taking meds pretty much around the clock through the begining of the week. Poor girl. We were concerned when it started getting as high as 103.4. I really hate having a sick baby. She was so sad and there wasn't much we could do to help. Thankfully she woke up today back to her same self, and is off the Motrin/Tylenol so far today. We are SO happy about that!

Yesterday a couple other girls and I got together and made Strawberry Jelly. We had alot of fun and it came out great!

And today...

We're about to head over to a friends pool and meet up with Dusty and Shanna for a swim.

And thats all I've got..

Lots going on..

but life is good!

Terrorist In Training..

Don't know if you read the Ebeling's blog much..
Their last couple of posts have been about Hannah (The Terrorist) and some of the stuff she's been getting into..Well Hannah and Ella are good friends and it seems a "Terrorist Network" has been formed..

I noticed Ella had been quiet for a little too long (a clear sign she was up to no good)Turns out she found a pen and was doing some coloring..
