Hi friends and family. I have been meaning to write out an update forever now. I've had a ton of people wondering what in the world we're up to and what our "plans" are for moving this Spring. Well....the short story is that we have no idea ;) The long story is that we really don't know yet, but we do have some things we do know.
We know that we are definitely still moving this May/June. Most likely the last week of May or first week of June. We aren't positive where exactly we're going though. It's crazy. I know. But we can see God working and have had lots of confirmation that we are walking in the right direction. We know that everything will work out how it's supposed to.
Here are a couple of specific things you can pray for:
1) My hubby has a Skype interview with a church tonight at 5:30pm our time (Central- so 6:30pm for all you NC and FL friends). This is his second interview with this particular church located in South Florida. It would still be 2 1/2 hours from "home", but it would be a whole lot closer than where we're at now and we can really see some ways God could use us down there.
2) Next week he has a follow up Skype interview with a church in the Charlotte area as well. It's technically South Carolina, but in a suburb of Charlotte. This would be an awesome opportunity as well. I'll give you more info on that as the details get nailed down.
3) This one is kind of random, but we had a lead for a church hiring back home that would be a really awesome opportunity in lots of ways. We haven't really heard much at all from them, so it may be a completely closed door. Please pray with us that we would hear one way or another (and maybe selfishly that Randy could get an interview?!) It's been kind of a tease having the idea of possibly moving back where all of our family is and then hitting a dead end. It would be nice to see some progress or have some closure so that it's not just a constant "what if...".
4) Just pray for us in general. We're getting down to the nitty gritty and trying to make some tentative plans. It's really hard to plan a move when you have no idea where you're going, but we know that God will finish what he started in our hearts. We are trusting God to come through at the last hour, but also trying to be wise to have a back up plan in case God is on a different time line then us. We need wisdom to figure out what would be the best move financially and ministry wise if we are still looking or in the interview process when it's time to go. It's crazy and stressful and at times we find ourselves starting to panic a teeny bit. Then we are reminded that God is in control and that we have been following his lead this whole way. We really believe he will continue to be faithful to us!
I know there are still lots of updates I've left out about the kiddos and pregnancy and all that, but I'll get to it....eventually!
