Another day and another yard sale...

We are getting good at the whole yard sale thing..
Before this month, I had never had a yard sale before. After I got married, I would go through things while cleaning and organizing around the house and throw them in a "yard sale box" in our shed. Well that box became boxes and finally we decided it was time to unload.
As we've been going through stuff preparing to move, we have found so much stuff we want to be rid of. I think we'll have one more sort of grand finale sale in a few weeks and then we'll just load everything that's left and head straight to the salvation army or goodwill..

Anyways, we had a good time hanging out with friends that brought over stuff to sell, too. It's always nice to have good company to talk to while you sit in the sun for hours waiting on stuff to sell!!

Lisa's Husband Jerry was there working hard, too, along with our friend Laura. Instead of 3 smaller sales, we were able to have one big one and draw quite the crowd!

I'm looking forward to a good nights rest tonight!! Last night Noah ate at 8:30pm, went down for bed around 9 or so, and slept until 6:45 am!!! Of course, I was up at 5:00 getting ready for the yard sale..GO FIGURE!! The night before, he slept from 9:30-7 so I'm hopeful that I'll get some good rest tonight. Randy's playing bass in the band tomorrow, and I'm pretty excited- it's been forever since he's played bass guitar, should be fun for him :-)!

Update on Noah's Heart

We got great news yesterday at the Cardiologist (or at least as great as could be expected given the situation) Since he had seen the pediatrician on Monday, we knew that the heart murmur was still there and hadn't closed yet, but the appointment yesterday gave us answers to our many questions!

After getting his blood pressure, weight, and height, they took us to a room and gave Noah an EKG. He did so great! He just laid there watching us a little confused as to what was going on..
Once they were done with that, we went for his ultrasound. It was really fascinating to see all the chambers of his heart and the blood flowing all through it. At the time it was slightly nerve racking since we were still unsure of what they would find, but I'm so thankful for the technology we have!
Once all of the tests were run, we ended up back in our room where we waited..and waited..and waited...I think we were there 2 hours!!! That left some time for playing and taking pics at least!

The Doctor finally made it in to see us and she was *wonderful*!! She did a great job of explaining everything and putting us at ease. What they found was that Noah has a VSD or Ventricular Septal Defect. Basically if you look at the drawing below you will see the four chambers of the heart. Noah has a small hole between his Left Ventricle and Right Ventrical. When they listen it has a whistle to it because it's under such high pressure. That's good news because it means the hole is very small. Also since the blood is leaking from the Left to Right that is better than the opposite happening. The Doctor said that she is highly confident that it will get smaller. It may even close completely. Either way, she said that even with no change at all, he wouldn't need surgery to correct it. Thank God!! She said he will be fine for running, sports..all that boyish stuff I was afraid he may miss out on. He will still have to make a yearly visit to the cariologist, but it's just to monitor it and keep an eye on it...


We are so thankful to have this little guy in our lives. What a relief to know he's healthy!

Trying not to be a slacker..but..

I hate when I neglect my blog and I keep doing it!!
We have been so busy..We ended up going to Georgia right after we got back from West Virginia.
But we're home now and I'm so glad :)

I'll post some pics on here from WV at the end, but first I'll catch you up on life..
Hmm..where to start!?!?

Well, a few posts ago I mentioned that there was some big stuff going on with us. Maybe big was an understatement and huge would be a better word! A few weeks ago, Randy lost his job and we have been trying to make some tough decisions about what's next for us. We've decided that since Randy has been wanting to finish school for awhile now, it's time to move closer to family. This has kept us emotionally exhausted because on one hand we're excited about the new opportunities to come, but yet were so sad to leave behind the friends and church we love. It has been a rollercoaster feeling like it's a great decision one second and then complete panic the next, but now that we've had time to process it all, we are really excited about what's to come. Now as if our life wasn't busy enough with two little ones, we get to throw packing into the mix! Somewhere around the first or second week in September, we're off to Decaturville, TN Home of the Largest Coon Hunt in the World lol

Yes, my friends..Randy and I are off to live the simple life surrounded by animals and bugs. If you have any "coon hunting" skills, better pass them on to Randy LOL. He can't wait to try out his skills as a farmer..me...I'm slightly nervous about the hour drive to Wal Mart and lack of socialization, but I think I will survive ;)
We will most likely be renting our house out so keep your ears open for anyone wanting to rent a 3 bedroom, 2 bath!

Noah had his 2 month visit yesterday and was so pitiful when it came time for shots ;( He broke my heart!! They said he looked great- 50% for weight and 60% for height..I can't believe my little guy is already 11 pounds 14 oz!! Since he started out bigger it just seems like he's growing so fast!! We go to the cardiologist later on today to find out what type of heart murmur he has and if they think it will close on it's own. The appointments at 1:45 so hopefully it will go well!

Ella is doing great and keeping busy. She talks SO MUCH! Wehave nicknamed her "Repeat" because she literally copies us all day. This morning she was playing with an empty baby bottle and she was determined to have it filled with water. I told her if she put water in it I would have to take it away..that it was only for pretend. (Especially since there is only one place she can reach to get water...eewww!) Well, a few minutes later she came back and I could tell the bottle was wet..the conversation went something like this..
Me "Ella, the bottle is wet! You disobeyed mommy.."
Ella "I didn't!"
Me "The bottle is wet and mommy told you not to put any water in it"
Ella, " No, mom. It's soda!!"

Ughh! She had dipped it in the glass of soda I set on the table earlier. lol. She was right, I said no WATER so she thought the soda would work fine..and the whole "no mom" thing ?? Not sure where she got that from as apposed to mommy lol. Gotta love having a two year old..they sure are sneaky! Still had to take the bottle away, but I am impressed with her thinking!

The biggest, scariest bridge ever! It was beautiful to view, but so scary to drive on. The would be a LONG fall! Here are some stats on it from Wikipedia:

Okay, I'm back!!

I hate when I become one of those people who never update lol.
It's like you check the page every few days and still nothing.
My only real excuse is that my camera batteries were dead and I without posting pics and talking about the babies, I really don't have much to write.

We have been really busy and trying to sort out some stuff..We have some really big changes in our future, but more on that soon!

Here's an update on the kiddos..

Ella has just been being Ella. Funny and Goofy one minute, and throwing a typical two year old tantrum the next minute! Even though she's at that difficult, stubborn, age right now, Randy and I both agree that most of the time we love this age. She is so fun to play with and she has the best laugh! We also love listening to her talk. It's so funny the way her mind interprets stuff!

Here are some pics of her last night. Wednesday night is her special night where she gets to stay up late and watch Wipeout in her jammies. I almost thought she wasn't going to make it last night because she was so cranky, but we let her stay up for most of it anyways..

My sister recently moved to my parents house in TN and while Ella's "Paw Paw" was here helping Lynsey move, he surprised Ella with this Fairy Costume. Ella loves to wear it and pretend she's a butterfly flying!

As for Noah..he is wonderful, too. I was able to take him off the lactaid now and the only time it seems to bother him is if I drink an actual glass of milk. I have basically just stopped drinking milk and started taking a calcium supplement instead. Occasionally when I am just dying for some milk, I give him the lactaid and drink away lol. The reflux medicine has worked wonders and he is now so sweet to be around. I am glad that as he's gotten a little older, his tummy issues have almost completely calmed down. He is definitely a "spitter", but he isn't miserable. Thank goodness. He is also sleeping GREAT! He usually goes at least 6 or 7 hours the first stretch and then back down for a couple more hours. This week he actually slept for his first FULL night where he went from 9:45pm-7:00am!! Woo Hoo!
His personlaity is so cute! He is very contemplative, but once he finds something funny about you, he will give the best smiles!


When he gets upset, his "pouting" face can break your heart!



Well, I will have lots more pics coming soon. We are going to West Virginia for the next three days with our small group from church and should have some fun pics from that. Noah and Ella are also about to have some baby friends over later today, too. I don't know who's looking forward to it more...Ella or me..but I'm guessing ME!!
